Psychotherapy

Cognitive-behavioral (current thinking and actions) is my first approach, then as desired I add resources, based on what is needed to help you, the client:

  • Clarify what the issues are and the best approach for resolution

Therapeutic Approaches

In the last fifty years the fields of psychology, communications, creative arts, human potential, linguistics, medicine, neuroscience, metaphysics and related fields has evolved far enough to have a lot to offer anyone who wants become better. Evidence-based approaches are generally the most desirable. These approaches might be used in therapy or coaching. The following are some of very desirable approaches that I use.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting uses the complete attention, field of vision processing, and cross-hemisphere stimulating music to process trauma, anxiety, addiction, and other issues.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing

EMDR uses cross-hemisphere stimulation and specific and extensive protocols for with trauma, anxiety, addictions and other issues.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

NLP is a communication, personal development, and therapeutic approach. It has been used to treat a range of issues.

Positive Psychology

The goal of Positive Psychology is not only to help people with mental illness (traditional psychology), but also to help the average person who wants to become happier, healthier, and more successful.

Structural Dynamics

Structural Dynamics is a structural approach to understand and change thinking and behaviors, setting up structural tension, changing dynamics of individuals, relationships, and groups.
